Team manager clarifies position in statement
Laylaw Racing says it will be returning to the Manx Grand Prix in 2024.
Team Manager, Eddie Laycock has clarified the outfit's position, saying he was 'shocked' to read a statement elsewhere claiming the team would not be heading back to the event this year.
Laylaw Racing have dominated the top two spots in the Lightweight MGP class in the last two years, with riders Mike Browne and Ian Lougher taking first and second respectively in the race in 2022 and 2023.
Meanwhile, Mr Laycock adds his friend and sponsor Gerry Lawlor is stepping back from the setup for personal reasons.
The team is thanking Gerry for what he's done for them in the last eight years and they hope he can return to the fold in 2025.
