Team provides update on rider in Instagram post
The team of TT rider Lee Johnston says he's on 'the slow road to recovery' after his crash at the North West 200 last week.
Johnston was involved in an incident during the supersport practice session last Thursday (11 May) and suffered a broken femur and shoulder; a break in the foot and face; several broken ribs and a collapsed lung.
In the update on Johnston's Instagram page, the team is thanking all the staff who've been caring for Lee and praised the amount of support he's received, describing it as 'incredible and none of it has been unnoticed'.
They go on to add 'it's going to be a slow and hard recovery but he will be back better than ever', and ask that people respect his privacy whilst he recovers.
