Clerk of the Course for the Southern 100 International Road Races Phil Taubman has been enrolled as a Life Member of the Club.
He has been involved with the racing at Billown since the very first meeting in 1955 and joined the organising committee in 1960 - he is currently the Chairman.
Another two long serving stalwarts have been named as Honorary Vice Presidents - Don Fairburn and Ron Kitching have nearly ninety years of service between them to road racing in the south of the island.
And more news - Eurosport will once again broadcast the 2011 Southern 100 Road Races, produced by local company Greenlight Television, tomorrow between 17.30 and 19.30 reaching a worldwide audience of well over 500 million homes.
