Manx defender part of Wigan team knocked out of FA Youth Cup
Manxman Adam Long and his Wigan u18s side were knocked out of the fifth round of FA Youth Cup last night (13 Feb), after a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.
The centre back endured a tough night against Liverpool's strikers, a partnership which has managed 43 goals this season.
The Latics put up a good fight against Liverpool, but couldn't find their way back into the game after two early goals from Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel.
The loss puts an end to the Latics' 25-match unbeaten run, however the Latics remain top of the EFL Youth Alliance North West league, nine points ahead of Rochdale.
