
Kevin Loundes won the opening round of the Manx Gas Cross Country season at Ballanette on Sunday.
He finished over a minute and a half clear of Simon Skillicorn with Andy Barron in third.
Jackie Lee won the women’s race by just two seconds from Gail Griffiths with Rachael Tewkesbury third.
Manx Harrier Rachael Franklin was the junior women’s winner, ahead of Polly Rogerson.
Ollie Lockley and Sarah Astin came out on top respectively in the under 17 races.
The other winners were: Jak Morris (under 15 boys), Sosanna Cox (under 15 girls), William Morris (under 13 boys), Katie Astin (under 13 girls), David Mullarkey (under 11 boys), Laura Dickinson (under 11 girls), Niall Caley (under nine boys), Sinead Cox (under nine girls).
Dave Mackay won the veterans event ahead of Kevin Groom and Stephen Kelly.
Steve Cain, Joanne Glassey and Caroline Moran completed the top six.
