Matthew Bostock claims victory
Manx road and track cyclist Matthew Bostock won the first stage of an elite cycling event being held on the Island this weekend.
The Manx International Stage Race sees eight events take place across the British Isles and the Isle of Man as part of the annual British Cycling National Road Race Series, providing high-class competition for the top male and female British professional and amateur domestic racing teams.
The first stage took place last night on a 1.1km circuit around the Isle of Man Business Park in Braddan.
Jessie Carridge was the first Manx woman home.
Stage two and three today will be in the Jurby area.
Road closure times for each stage have been estimated as a 'worst-case scenario' with the intention to open roads as quickly as possible to minimise disruption.
Details of road closures and the event schedule over the next three days is available HERE, and you can find the latest results HERE.
