Manx hockey players embark of 15 month DiSE programme

It's a Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme run by England Hockey

This weekend marks the start of an exciting new chapter for four talented young Manx hockey players.

Lucy Cartwright, Evie Watterson, Kyle Gunnion and Cam Roome have arrived at Lilleshall National Sports Centre for their first residential weekend as part of the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme, run by England Hockey in collaboration with Loughborough College.

They will embark on a 15-month programme designed to support their athletic and personal development.

Manx Hockey Association says: "while there’s a mix of excitement and nerves as they take their first steps into this new challenge, we are confident that Evie, Kyle, Cameron, and Lucy will thrive, both on and off the pitch, as the programme progresses.

"We’re incredibly proud to see four more players from the Isle of Man achieving this level of recognition and wish them every success on their DiSE journey!"
