Motorsport UK confirms news in statement
A competitor has died following a medical incident during today's Manx National Rally.
The news was confirmed in a statement issued by Motorsport UK this afternoon.
As a result, the stage on which the incident occurred will not be run again during the meeting but the rest of the event will continue as scheduled.
Motorsport UK and the organising team is offering its 'sincere condolences' to the family and friends of the competitor and the wider rallying community at this time.
Furthemore, Motorsport UK adds that the family has requested privacy at this time and no further information will be released at present.
