Manx on the podium on opening day of Games
The Isle of Man is lying second in the medal table in Jersey as the Natwest Island Games continues today (Monday).
With two golds, six silvers and three bronze medals, the Manx team began the day just below the host nation.
Today, there’s action in athletics, badminton, basketball and football where the Island’s men face Alderney and the women take on Gibraltar.
One of yesterday’s first successes was for Elizabeth Holden in the women’s cycling Time Trial, where she claimed silver.
She told Tim Glover she'd fought hard:
Tributes paid to 'kindest and friendliest' driver in rally community
Island hosts 'first of its kind' visually impaired golf event
Football: Corinthians hammer Ayre United to reach Hospital Cup last four
Battles to resume in ARA Championship
