Death of Dan Hegarty overshadows race
The death of former TT Privateer Champion Dan Hegarty marred the 2017 Macau Grand Prix
The 31 year-old from Nottingham came off his Top Gun Racing Honda at Fisherman’s Bend.
The race was immediately red-flagged.
Manx Radio sports editor Tim Glover spoke to him a few months back and said he was a rider with real pedigree.
Glenn Irwin won from Peter Hickman and Michael Rutter.
The Manxies fared well with Conor Cummins in fifth spot and Dan Kneen from Braddan in 11th.
