Manxman aiming to break all-time stage win record this year
Mark Cavendish will get his chance to become the Tour de France's all-time stage winner at the start of next month.
The 'Manx Missile' has been named in Astana Qazaqstan's squad for the event running from 1-23 July.
38-year-old Cavendish is currently tied with cycling great, Eddie Merckx, on 34 stage wins at the prestigious race.
This year is expected to be Cav's last shot at beating the record after he announced last month he intends to retire from the sport at the end of the current season.
