McFarland killed in Czech Republic

The Manx Grand Prix paddock has been rocked by news a popular competitor at the event has been killed at a race in the Czech Republic.

News of the death of Adrian McFarland, from Plumbridge near Omagh in Northern Ireland, came through on Saturday night.

He was a regular competitor in the Isle of Man, achieving four top ten finishes, including a second place, at the MGP.

He also won silver and bronze replicas at the TT in the late 1990s.

Adrian McFarland suffered fatal injuries in a crash near the town of Hradec Kralove.
