Duo unchanged for next year's road race calendar
John McGuinness MBE and Dean Harrison will once again lead Honda Racing UK's charge at the Isle of Man TT Races in 2027.
The team has confirmed the pairing will spearhead its road racing campaign next year which will also include the North West 200 in Northern Ireland.
During this year's TT, Harrison was crowned winner in both the Superbike and Senior races whilst he also secured second spot in both Supersport events.
For 23-time TT winner, McGuinness it was a landmark year in his glittering road racing career so far with celebrations held in 2026 marking 30 years of him racing on the Snaefell Mountain Course.
For 2027, Honda Racing UK adds both competitors will take on the road race meetings on all-new Honda CBR-RR Fireblade machinery.
On these latest plans, McGuinness says: "I’m really pleased that I’m staying with Honda for 2027. We were fast in 2026 and if the weather had played ball at the TT, we’d have had more seat time.
"It wasn’t to be though, so to be heading back as teammate to Dean and with an all new bike to race is fantastic.
"I have my 100th race start at the NW200 to look forward to as well, it’s going to be an excellent year for road racing."
Separately, Harrison will also take on the extra challenge of competing for Honda in the British Superbike Championship next season alongside Ryan Vickers and Kyle Ryde.
Now-Island resident, Harrison says: "My performance at the TT in 2026 was, in my opinion, the strongest I’ve ever been. The confidence that gives me for next year should not be underestimated.
"I have no worries at all about developing the new Fireblade to suit my style and I can’t wait to see how we cope with the demands of a new bike.
"Having John as a teammate only improves our outlook for 2027. I think we work really well together and I’m proud to share the awning with him again. Aside form being mates, there’s a lot of experience to make use of from both of us."
The 2027 Isle of Man TT Races are scheduled to take place from Monday, 31 May to Saturday, 12 June next year.
