His last lap of the Superbike Race set a new standard of 131.717 m.p.h..
Despite this, Guy Martin took the chequred flag by just 0.056 of a second from McGuinness.
In all, five riders broke the old lap record of 130.8 - McGuinness, Martin, Ian Hutchinson, Cameron Donald and Bruce Anstey.
Ramsey rider Conor Cummins finished sixth with a fastest lap of 129.710 m.p.h..
