Road racing legend returned following injury
One of the most decorated riders in TT history has issued a frank apology, following what he feels was a below-par performance at the event this year.
John McGuinness took to Twitter, saying "my results weren't great and so sorry for that, so much hard work from Norton and got nothing."
McGuinness was making something of a comeback for the festival, following extensive leg injuries.
He went on to say: "We deserved better, but I suppose I won because I made it back on the grid for the biggest road race in the world after being in some dark places."
