
Morecambe's MP is leading calls for John McGuinness' TT achievements to be recognised with an official honour.
David Morris is member of Parliament for Morecambe and Lunesdale and think's the local-bricklayer-turned-TT hero is long overdue for recognition.
McGuinness started racing in the TT in 1996 - since then he's won 17 races AND set the outright lap record.
Joey Dunlop, the most successfull TT rider of all time with 26 wins, received the MBE for services to motorsport in 1986.
