Twenty-three time winner out of this year's event
Despite not being involved in the action this year, it appears 23-time winner John McGuinness is following the events of TT 2017 closely.
The Morecambe Missile fractured his right leg after coming off his bike at the North West 200 earlier this month.
He also sustained multiple broken vertebrae in the incident which has ruled him out of this year's TT.
But it's not stopped McGuinness tweeting advice to his fellow competitors as they enjoyed their first taste of the Mountain Course this evening.
Ease yourself into it tonight guys. Obey the flags, enjoy. @iom_tt
