MGP 2024: Mike Browne to ride Key Racing Ducati

Team targeting better fortunes in Classic Superbike race

Key Racing will embark on its third year at the Manx Grand Prix when the races return next month.

The team has announced Mike Browne will ride their 916cc V-Twin Ducati machine on the Snaefell Mountain Course in the Classic Superbike race.

Browne replaces Dean Harrison who rode for the team at last year's event and who the team expects to have British Superbike Championship (BSB) commitments with Honda Racing UK at Cadwell Park from 24-26 August.

Before that, Mike Mace and Andrea Majola had representing the crew when it made its MGP debut in 2022.

Meanwhile for Browne it's been a positive last two MGP outings - separately he's claimed back-to-back victories in the Lightweight Race and last year earned a podium finish in third in the Classic Senior MGP.

Key Racing adds the Irishman has had some time on the bike already at Donington Park with more laps scheduled between now and late August.

The machine itself is similar to the one on which Carl Fogarty claimed the 1994 World Superbike Championship in its inaugural year.

The 2024 Manx Grand Prix is due to take place from 18-26 August.
