Tourism Minister Adrian Earnshaw is admitting, with the benefit of hindsight, last November's announcement of A.C.U. Events Limited taking over from the Manx Motor Cycle Club as T.T. race organiser, could have been handled better.
The club resigned from a three year agreement with the Department in late September, saying members were being asked to undertake an increasing number of tasks they could no longer perform.
The letter of resignation ended with a request for negotiations to open to discuss the terms of a new arrangement.
However, Mr Earnshaw says he needed to have a settled background to push ahead with proposed improvements for T.T. 2008:-
