There has been a very mixed reaction to reports that the last section of the T.T. Course will change radically.
The Department of Transport is to seek £1.2 million from Tynwald to construct a new road between the Nook and Governor's Bridge.
The old narrow roadway will be abandoned after the Auto Cycle Union approved use of the new route through land adjacent to the Governor's residence for racing.
If the funding is approved, construction will start in November with completion by next May in time for T.T. 2008.
A small number of contributors to motorcycle forums are outraged by the prospect of a traditional part of the T.T. Course being abandoned.
