Chair also impressed at 'high-calibre' newcomer entries
The Chair of the Manx Motorcycle Club says seeing the Manx Grand Prix returning this year will be 'marvellous'.
A new nine-day schedule will be in place for the event - which is in it's 99th year - from 21-29 August around the Snaefell Mountain Course.
The MGP hasn't been held since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and John McBride feels the racing festival can now 'go from strength to strength' going forward.
He's also been impressed by the high calibre of newcomers also joining for the 2022 meeting:

David Mullarkey selected by Great Britain for road running championships
Michael Dunlop wins Senior Classic TT
Johnny Stewart wins Senior Manx Grand Prix
