
Andrew Nash and Rebecca Storrie were the big winners at the Microgaming Triathlon Festival Weekend in Ramsey.
Eighty-three athletes competed in the individual Sprint Triathlon which comprised three disciplines - a 750 metres swim, a 20km cycle and a 5km run.
Current Island champion Andrew Nash took first place in the men’s event, setting a new course record of 58 minutes 50 seconds.
Joseph Ricciardi was the first junior home to seal an impressive second place overall, with Russ Collister completing the top three.
Up and coming talent, Rebecca Storrie was the winner of the women’s race and clinched a double as the first junior home.
Karen Shimmin was second and Hannah Howitt third.
The team event, raising funds for the IOM Commonwealth Games team, also attracted an impressive entry with 240 competitors.
The winners were: Cojonas (men’s race) - Kristian Cowin, Gary Johnston and Andrew Nash.
Kinleys (mixed race) - Laura and Juan Kinley.
Three Amigos (women’s race) - Silla Parnell, Sharon Pope and Carly Craig.
