Ramsey Netball Club organise litter pick
A local sports team has taken part in a litter pick to give back to the community.
Last Saturday, a group of Ramsey Netball Club members got together to undertake a litter pick starting from their training venue at Ramsey Grammar School.
Armed with litter pickers loaned from Beach Buddies, the group, together with parents and siblings, targeted the areas around the schools and Lezayre road, collecting a large haul of predominantly plastic rubbish.
The netball club secretary said: "As a club we really value the support the local community show us and so we wanted to give something back.
"It's important for us to do activities as a club as it builds relationships, but most importantly, we had good fun together whilst making a small difference."
The club wishes to pass on their sincere thanks to Bill Dale, of Beach Buddies, for the loan of equipment and the invaluable advice given to help organise this event.
