Manxman Phil Cringle 'delighted' to take up role
Manxman Phil Cringle is taking over as head coach for Douglas Rugby Club for the 2022-2023 season.
It's his first role as head coach after a playing career which culminated in him representing London Scottish in the Championship.
Phil also has international experience having played on numerous occasions for Scotland under 20s.
He said he was 'delighted' to take up the role adding: "I think it's really important to IOM rugby players that we can provide opportunities to be able to play off Island in competitive leagues without having to leave home.
"Hopefully we can keep building on that!"
This season is Douglas' 150th anniversary with the club having been founded in 1873.
