Molyneux was one of four drivers testing new compound at MGP
The development of a new tyre for sidecars at the TT is a 'life saver' for the future of the class at the races.
That's according to 17-time Sidecar TT winner, Dave Molyneux, who was one of several sidecar competitors testing a new compound being developed by Hoosier Racing Tires at this year's Manx Grand Prix.
The American manufacturer is creating a new tyre after it was recently announced Avon Tyres - which supplies the majority of the Sidecar TT grid - will cease production at the end of 2023 after 119 years of operation.
Molyneux also believes had the company not stepped in to help, it could've seen the three-wheel machines disappear from the Snaefell Mountain Course:
