Former teammate of Mark Cavendish, and now arch rival, Andre Greipel has won the opening stage of the Tour of Oman.
As expected, it developed into a bunch sprint finish, but things didn't go to plan for Cav's Team Sky.
After the British squad helped reel in the breakaway, Cavendish was forced off the road and into the dirt by Katusha rider Alexander Kristoff, with just over a kilometre to go.
Teammates have expressed surprise that he kept the bike upright.
The Manx Missile has sportingly passed on his congratulations to Greipel via Twitter as well as commenting that these things do happen - or words to that effect!
