Shanaze Reade chosen in first year BMX to feature
The launch of the 2020 edition of the Manx Youth Games next week has had some star quality added to it.
One of the most successful BMX riders of all time, Shanaze Reade, will be at the Sports Institute in Douglas on Monday (20 January).
She competed at two Olympic Games (Beijing 2008 and London 2012) and has won multiple world titles in both BMX and track cycling.
Shanaze says it's an honour to be asked to launch the event, and is really looking forward to meeting everyone involved.
BMX will be included in the Manx Youth Games for the first time this year, alongside 14 other sports.
Training sessions for the Games begin later this month, with the event itself taking place on 16 May.
