Entries for the Scottish Provident Parish Walk close this Saturday.
Just shy of 1,300 have registered to take part in the 85 mile event around all 17 parishes of the island in under 24 hours.
2009 saw a record entry of 1,620.
Most of the field will not be aiming to complete the full distance......each competitor will have a goal to achieve.
Jock Waddington, the winner over the past two years, has entered along with five-time victor Robbie Callister.
However, the runner-up from 12 months ago and Ladies record holder Janice Quirk is not yet among those set to take part.
