Seven-wicket victory over Cronkbourne secures title
Peel and St John’s won the Isle of Man Premiership on Sunday, when they beat Cronkbourne by seven wickets.
The Douglas team were dismissed for 110 with Dan Hawke taking 3 for 15 and Russell Miller & Nick Hawke getting two wickets each.
The Saints then made 112 for 3, mainly thanks to 45 from opener Chris Hawke.
Also in the Premiership Ramsey were dismissed for 176 against Castletown.
Grant Atchison hit 55 and Ewan Quayle returned 5 for 12.
The Town got the runs for the loss of only one wicket. George Burrows led the way with 86 not out and Jack Newbery got 65.
Crosby ended their season by scoring 202 for 7 away to Valkyres.
Danny Kniveton cracked 85 and Ricky Kniveton 45.
Joey Rothwell then took 5 for 9 as Valkyres crashed to 40 all out.
