Pete Founds - 'Strong case' for several sidecar crews at TT 2024

Cheshire man and Jevan Walmsley surpassed 120mph mark last year

Sidecar TT competitor Pete Founds believes there's a 'strong case for five or six crews' being in contention for victory at this year's Isle of Man TT Races.

The rider from Cheshire will once again be joined by Jevan Walmsley on the FHO Racing DDM Honda machine in the sidecar class on the Snaefell Mountain Course for the 2024 racing fortnight.

Last year, the duo became only the second crew in TT history to pass the 120mph mark - recording 120.079mph in the Sidecar TT Race 2 to finish second.

Furthermore, they've secured eight top-six finishes in the last ten races since 2017 including five podiums in the last five.

With regards to their competition, Founds adds: "Ben obviously has a new passenger this year in Kevin Rousseau and the other top teams have made some form of change, but I try to not get too worried what everyone else is doing.

"The bottom line is that I could make a strong case for five or six crews winning in 2024.

"That's how competitive the sidecar races are now at the TT, so we'll just focus on ourselves and look to get into our rhythm as early as we can in practice week."

The 2024 Isle of Man TT Races are scheduled to take place from 27 May to 8 June.
