Pool: Manxman Addinall claims first IPA world title

Island player sweeps to world championship victory in Bradford

Isle of Man pool player, David Addinall has claimed his first ever IPA world title during recent competition.

The Manxman claimed the Seniors IPA World Championship crown during this year's IPA World Championships in Bradford which were held from 18-22 February.

During the final of the Seniors category he took victory in emphatic style with an 8-0 win over Scottish competitor, Chris White.

That was the final result of a six-match winning streak on his way to the trophy with Addinall's other wins coming against Daniel Wells, Arfan Dad, Mark Boyle, Rob Wilson and Ronan McCarthy.

Elsewhere, White finished as runner-up in the Seniors tournament with joint-third sport going to Ronan McCarthy and Robert Stephen.
