
Castletown’s Chris Palmer (pictured) praised the local support after he took victory in the six-lap 125cc race at Saturday’s Steam Packet Road Races.
He finished 13 seconds ahead of the returning Robert Dunlop with the popular veteran finishing ahead of Ian Lougher in third spot.

In the 400cc race, Paul Dobbs saw off the challenge of Mark Parrott and broke the lap record in the process in 96.441 mph, as did Parrott earlier.
Local favourite Dave Madsen-Mygdal was third.
