Manx Powerlifting calls event 'huge step' for sport locally
A selection of the Isle of Man's best powerlifters will be putting their strength to the test for the 2023 Manx Powerlifting Championships this weekend.
Being held on Saturday (2 September) at Evolution Fitness IoM in Castletown, the championships will be a full power Classic and Bench Only competition for athletes aged 14 and over.
What's more, those involved can get themselves into consideration to represent the Isle of Man squad at the Home Nations Championship in Belfast in November.
The event also forms stage one of qualification for the Manx team to compete at the 2024 Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship in South Africa in 2024.
