
For the first time ever, there are joint winners of the Parish Walk.
The Manx Telecom sponsored event was won by Irishman Vinny Lynch and Richard Gerrard in a new record time of 14 hours 42 mins and 32 seconds.
They crossed the line together shortly after 10.42pm, just under five minutes ahead of long-time race leader, third placed Michael George (14.47.11).
All three were inside the previous record set by Sean Hands in 2006 (14.47.36).

Sue Biggart, returning to the event after an absence, was the clear winner in of the women’s event in a time of 17 hours, three minutes and 53 seconds, nearly half an hour ahead of last year’s winner Maureen Moffatt, who improved her 2011 time by 12 and a half minutes.
Samantha Draper was the third woman home.
