
The race for promotion from CFS Division Two took a possible twist on Saturday.
Leaders Colby continued their dominance of the division, overcoming a battling Braddan 3-1, thanks to goals from the prolific duo of Furo Davies (two) and Josh Kelly (penalty).
Michael Wheeler was the Braddan marksman with the scores level at 1-1 at the break.
However, the main story of the day saw second placed Michael see off the brave challenge of Castletown to extend their advantage over third placed Pulrose, who drew 1-1 at Marown.
Neil Withers was the Marown scorer with goal-getter David Skillen on target again for Pulrose.
And Michael took full advantage with a 3-2 home win, although Town deserve credit for coming back from 2-0 down at the break – Michael Edge and Ashley Southern their scorers.
Ronaldsway sealed an impressive 4-2 win at Onchan, whose goals were scored by former ‘Rocket’, Mark Wolfenden.
Managerless Malew overcame Jurby 4-1 – Jack Charmer (two), Juan Kinvig and John Kelly finding the net with Mark Teare getting the Jurby consolation after a goalless first half.
