Ravens expecting tough midweek test
Following defeat last weekend, FC Isle of Man will be aiming to dust themselves down quickly as they return to NWCFL Premier Division action against Irlam this evening (12 August).
'The Ravens' head across the water aiming to turn around a stumbling start to their 2025/26 season which has seen them go without a win in their opening three matches.
They face an Irlam side which has enjoyed a strong start to the season and was in contention for a promotion play-off spot for much of the previous campaign.
FC Isle of Man Manager Paul Jones says they're expecting a tough test but is happy with the quality of a changed squad he has available for tonight's showdown:
Whilst FC Isle of Man have recorded a draw and two defeats so far, they'll be hoping for a repeat of their last trip to Salford in which they emerged 3-1 winners on 30 July last year.
However, they face an Irlam side which has emerged victorious in two of its three league outings and has netted nine times in the division already - the joint-highest in these very early stages.
Irlam vs FC Isle of Man takes place tonight at The Silver Street Stadium, kicking-off at 7.45pm
