Bell completed a fine hat-trick shortly after the re-start and that’s how it stayed.

Rushen now have to wait to see whether their points tally of 25 is enough to seal qualification.

Peel have to beat Laxey in their last game and hope other results go their way if they are to secure a semi-final berth.

Reigning champions and holders St George’s confirmed their place with a 7-0 thrashing of Corinthians.

Laxey kept up their qualification hopes, overcoming another battling showing by Union Mills.

The Millers led 2-0 at Glen Road at one stage before the Miners turned it around, eventually coming out on top 9-5!

Michael Fernandez led the way with a four goal haul.

He was joined on the scoresheet by Ashley Webster (two), Mark Wolfenden (two) and Johnny Callow (penalty) as the goals flowed.

Matty Cain (two), Chris Kelly, Richie Cannell and an own goal once again showed why the visitors’ problems are confined to the other end of the field.

The fine form of St Mary’s continued as they maintained their qualification hopes with an 8-0 victory at newly promoted Ramsey Youth Centre.

Steven Priestnal was the star of the show once more with four goals.

Captain Dominic McGreevy, Marc Priestnal (two) and Brian Crellin were the other marksmen for Sam Kenny’s side.

Old Boys saw off bottom club Castletown 6-0 at Blackberry Lane.

David Quirk (two), Gary Quirk and the returning twins Callum Stewart and Craig Stewart (two) did the damage.
