Northerners up to second
Ramsey took the honours in their first ever meeting with Christleton.
They won 27-11 at the Mooragh Park in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three, crucially picking up a try bonus point in the process.
It took a while to break down a very well organised defence and Christleton actually led 6-3 at half-time.
Dan Bonwick’s penalty gave Ramsey the early lead but two at the other end from Jim Taylor gave the visitors the advantage at the break.
In the second half, Neil Long and Josh Bowman both notched tries to put Ramsey ahead, and when Long went over for his second, the points looked secure.
Christleton came back, however, and a try from wing Ryan Chattington closed the gap before an Ethan Benjamin try in stoppage time sealed the win and the bonus point.
The win takes Ramsey to second place in the table.
