
Ramsey rounded off 2008 in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Four with a 14-8 win away at Helsby.
The game was tied 3-3 at half-time with Fintan Cummins’ penalty cancelling out Kev Ryder’s for Helsby.
Ramsey opened up in the second half and two further Cummins penalties pushed them into a 9-3 lead.
Prop Dave Hinks then scored the decisive try of the game and Ramsey held on for a win, despite a late Helsby comeback.
