The Easter Athletics Festival gets underway later with a 10 kilometre run around the Port Erin and Port St. Mary area.
Over 400 are expected to race to help start the 50th anniversary celebrations with numbers coming over reported to be the best for 25 years.
Signing-on is at Rushen United’s clubhouse at Croit Lowey between 5.30pm and 6.30pm and the start is down close to Port Erin breakwater at 7pm.
As well as the serious racing, there is a world record attempt for two people competing together in a pantomine costume over 10K as one of the organisers Chris Quine explains:-
