First Island Games for the athlete
Isle of Man athlete Christa Cain smashed the Women's 10,000m Island Games record on Sunday evening (13 July) winning the gold medal.
The Islander crossed the line almost a minute quicker than Aland Island runner Ann-Catrin Nordman's record, which she held since 1997.
Cain's 35:16 times was also over two minutes quicker than her nearest competitor Amy Kelland from the Isle of White.
The race was the last athletics event on Sunday, which saw the Isle of Man win two Golds and one Silver.
