TT legend has been out of action since a major injury last year
John McGuinness says recovery from a serious injury sustained at last year's North West 200 is going well.
He fractured his leg and suffered multiple broken vertebrae in the incident and contemplated ending his career.
At a charity event on the Island on Saturday, the 23-time TT winner admitted being 'addicted to tramadol' for a time after the injury.
Despite the setback putting paid to him competing at the 2017 TT, McGuinness still travelled to the Isle of Man - receiving a standing ovation from fans when on the ferry to the Island.
The Morecambe Missile has ended his contract with Honda and has been coy on revealing details of his next move.
