Rockets fly high to take title

Ronaldsway Rockets secured the Freeway Express Championship with a convincing 12-5 win over nearest rivals Rushen yesterday (Sunday).

Colby Cosmos finishing as runners-up after they beat Port Erin Blockbusters 13-4.

Final standings in the championship: 1, Ronaldsway Rockets (35 points); 2, Colby Cosmos (27 points); 3, Rushen (25 points); 4, Port Erin Blockbusters (15 points).

On behalf of the Manx Short Mat Bowls Association, Colin Holland would like to wish all members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
