Kirkpatrick bags four tries during big victory
Report by Dave Christian:
Douglas beat Southern Nomads 83-0 in the midweek Manx Cup game on Wednesday night at Ballakilley Park.
The Nomads lads put in a tough shift against the Regional 2 North west side but were overwhelmed.
Liam Kirkpatrick led the way for Douglas with four tries and there were hat-tricks for Kyle Martin and Sam McCord.
The other Douglas tries came from Jack Loughnane, Conor McCaughan and Cal Dentith with Luke Hyland adding nine conversions.
Qualification for the final is on a league basis with the top two going through.
Douglas play Vagabonds on Saturday 13 April and Ramsey on 20 April.
If Vagabonds lose and fail to score four tries on Saturday or lose by more than seven points, Douglas will qualify for the final.
It will then go down to points difference between Ramsey and Vagabonds for the other spot and the scoreline between Ramsey and Douglas on 20 April will be pivotal.
