Rugby: KWC teams enjoy successful UK tour 

All three sides take wins in the north east of England

A trio of rugby teams from King William's College (KWC) have enjoyed a successful UK tour in which each squad took wins on their travels.

The college's First, Under-15 and Under-14 all took victories in respective ties against Yarm School in a recent series of fixtures at Billingham Rugby Club in Stockton-on-Tees.

Among the highlights was the KWC first team's convincing 49-17 win over Yarm School's First XV in what was the college's first tour under the guidance of former 'All Black' and the school's new ambassador for rugby, Mark Robinson.

Head of Rugby at King William's College, Mark Moss, says: "We were delighted with the boys’ unbeaten tour,  and it was a memorable experience for everyone involved.  

"However, this tour was about more than just the rugby. It also provided pupils with an opportunity to develop important qualities away from the pitch. 

"While our three teams all gave strong performances and three victories, the lasting value of the trip lies in the development, camaraderie and confidence gained by the boys throughout the tour."
