Western Vikings keen to bring in new additions to club and sport
One of the Isle of Man's rugby clubs has put out an impassioned appeal for more people to get involved with both the team and the sport in general.
Western Vikings RUFC, based in Peel is inviting new players to join its ranks and is keen to hear from anyone, regardless of experience.
One of the current players, Ed Knight says there's been a 'depleting player pool' in the sport more generally on the Island in recent times.
When asked if the club faces the risk of folding, he says that's not something that's being considered right now but acknowledges the team is going through a challenging period:
Anyone interested in getting involved in the club is welcome to attend training sessions which for senior players takes place behind Peel campsite and the Western Swimming Pool off Derby Road on Thursdays from 6.30pm.
Alternatively, people can find out more information by contacting Western Vikings RUFC directly via Facebook and Instagram.
