Former Island player in squad again for Ireland test
Former Isle of Man rugby player, Bevan Rodd is in contention to make his third consecutive appearance at this year's Six Nations.
The 2023 Isle of Man Sportsman of the Year has been included in Steve Borthwick's 23-man squad to face Ireland this Saturday (21 February).
He'll start from the bench and is one of four Sale Sharks players to be called up along with George Ford, Tom Curry and Luke Cowan-Dickie.
So far during the tournament, Rodd has featured in both the 48-7 win over Wales in the first round and the 31-20 defeat to Scotland in the Calcutta Cup last weekend (14 February).
Separately, this weekend's match will mark a milestone for England captain, Maro Itoje who's set to earn his 100th international cap and there's a first international start for Henry Pollock.
England vs Ireland will take place at the Allianz Stadium (Twickenham) on Saturday, 21 February, kicking-off at 2.10pm.
