There are also hopes the sport can grow on Island in future
People on Island are being invited to try out the sport of wheelchair rugby league this evening (21 February).
A session is being held at 7pm tonight at the NSC in Douglas for adults of all ages and abilities as well as children over the age of eight.
It's co-founder Adam Knight hopes this evening's event can be a stepping stone to growing the sport further locally for the future.
What's more, he feels wheelchair rugby can be a great social environment for people to get involved with:

Football: Corinthians hammer Ayre United to reach Hospital Cup last four
Battles to resume in ARA Championship
IoM women victorious at Preston North End
NW200: Storm Stacey takes debut double on final day
Archery: Silver for Sleight at UK & Ireland championships
