Russell Road Racing withdraws from sidecar racing in 2025

Team confirms decision in brief statement

Russell Road Racing has withdrawn from all three-wheeled racing in 2025.

The team says this is due to 'circumstances out of our control' in a brief statement on social media.

However, the squad does intend to be involved in some solo racing during the new campaign.

Rider Michael 'Jack' Russell has been heavily involved in both the solo and sidecar classes in racing on Island in recent years.

On three wheels at the last two Isle of Man TT Races he's competed alongside passenger Vicky Cooke.

This year was a challenging one as the duo were non-starters in the first sidecar race and were a retirement in the second race.

In July Russell was joined by a new passenger in Jake Roberts at the Southern 100 Road Races on the Billown Course - they were declared in third place in the first race and retired in the Sidecar Championship event.

Russell and Roberts had previously announced they would be teaming up for TT 2025.

The team says it wants to wish Roberts 'every success with wherever his ventures take him.'
