St John’s won the Standard Bank League Cup Final yesterday when they beat Cronkbourne by 96 runs.
Batting first, the Saints made 224 for 9 from their 50 overs.
Phil Littlejohns top scored with 50 and Russell Miller made 41 not out.
Cronkbourne were then dismissed for 128 after 48 overs.
Alex Stokoe hit 33 to boost the top order, but Miller sewed up the game with a fierce spell of 4 for 27.
So the season ended in perfect weather at a very well prepared Mullen-e-Cloie.
Russell Miller was named Man of the Match and received his award from James Stokoe of sponsors Standard Bank.
